Role Structure (Important)

This is a subcontractor / independent contractor role, not an employee position.

  • You will be engaged on a project-by-project basis

  • You are responsible for your own taxes, deductions, and insurance

  • Payment is based on agreed hourly or project rates via invoice

  • No guaranteed hours or ongoing employment is implied

Subcontractors may accept or decline project opportunities.

Scope of Work

Subcontractors will assist with:

  • Sauna builds

  • Barn and outbuilding construction

  • General carpentry and site work

  • Any other projects through Noble Services

Work will vary by project.

We have strong demand and multiple upcoming projects. Consistent quality workmanship and professionalism will lead to continued opportunities.

1. Experience & Independence

  • Must have prior construction experience

  • Capable of completing tasks with limited supervision

  • Able to interpret direction and execute without step-by-step instruction

2. Adaptability & Problem Solving

  • Able to learn new construction methods quickly

  • Adjust to changing site conditions

  • Solve problems independently and communicate when needed

3. Productivity & Work Pace

  • Maintain a consistent and efficient pace

  • Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks

  • Operate with minimal downtime

4. Professional Conduct

  • Communicate clearly and professionally

  • Maintain a respectful and clean job site

  • Represent Noble Services in a positive and professional manner

5. Opportunity Awareness

  • Be aware of potential project opportunities (referrals, inquiries, etc.)

  • Represent the company confidently when appropriate

  • Pass along leads or opportunities when identified

(This is not a commissioned sales role, but awareness and professionalism are expected.)

Tools & Equipment

Subcontractors are expected to supply their own basic tools, including:

  • Impact driver

  • Drill

  • Hammer

  • Tape measure

  • Hand tools standard to the trade

Noble Services will supply specialty tools and project-specific equipment where required.

Safety Requirements

  • Must follow all applicable Alberta construction safety standards

  • Required to wear appropriate PPE, including:

  • Steel-toe boots

  • Work-appropriate clothing and gear

A site-specific safety orientation will be provided, and acknowledgment of safety requirements must be signed prior to starting work.

All subcontractors are expected to work safely and responsibly at all times.

Compensation

  • Rate: Agreed upon per project or hourly basis

  • Payment issued upon submitted invoice

  • Work is assigned per project (no guaranteed hours)

Working Relationship

This role is structured as an independent subcontractor relationship.

Subcontractors:

  • Maintain control over how they complete assigned work

  • Are not considered employees of Noble Services

  • Are responsible for their own business operations and obligations

  • Will complete work in a timely and efficient manner with care and quality for the final product being paramount.
